TAGGING ITEMS

  • Please use 3X5 index cards to tag your items. Place the card in a vertical position, and put the gender/size in the upper right corner.

  • The center of the card is the description area for each item. Include enough information to identify the item should the tag become separated from the item.
  • Your consignor number (your first and last initials and the last four digits of your phone number) MUST go in the lower left corner.
  • The price goes in the lower right corner.
  • If you do NOT want an item to be sold for 30% off on Discount Day (No Discount), write ND next to the price.
  • To indicate that this item is to be donated if not sold, place an X in the upper left-hand corner of the card. A percentage of the items not sold will be donated.
  • NO ITEM SHOULD HAVE MORE THAN ONE CARD ATTACHED TO IT.

Clothing

  • Do NOT use small gold safety pins, straight pins, or staples to attach the index card.
  • USE ONLY 3x5 INDEX CARDS
  • Pin tags on right hand shoulder of clothing item.
  • On pants, pin tag to the upper right corner.
  • However if you are worried about the pin damaging the item, then make sure the shopper can find the tag easily and pin it where you feel it is necessary.
  • Pin matching accessories (hat, socks, headband, etc.) to shirt, but separate from the tag. Make note of the accessories on the item's tag description.

Shoes

  • Ziploc bags work well for shoes. Place index card in the the bag rather than taping it.
  • If you don't use a Ziploc bag, be sure to tie or pin laces together. For shoes without laces or buckles, try using rubber bands to keep shoes together. Please make sure the card is well attached, but can be removed by our checkout team.
  • A suggestion: place masking tape with your consignor number and price and discount preference on the bottom of each shoe. This helps identify your item in case the card is lost or the shoes are separated.
  • Shoes may be placed in a Ziploc bag and sold as part of a clothing set, attach shoes securely to hanger.

Other Items

  • Books - place single or grouped books in a Ziploc bag with titles listed on the tag. If book will not fit in a Ziploc, clip the tag to the upper right corner of the book.
  • DVDs/Videos/CDs - place in a Ziploc bag with the tag description inside of the bag.
  • Toys - Please use Ziploc bags for small pieces and secure the Ziploc to the toy with blue painters tape…
  • A suggestion: place masking tape with your consignor number and price on each large item (toys, cribs, strollers, etc.) in addition to the index card. This helps identify your item in case the card is lost.
  • When larger toys and/or equipment include small items or accessories, please note that on the card's description.
